Ask Studio
Questions in English, answered by your live database.
No extract. No copy. No warehouse in between.
Point Ask Studio at ClickHouse or Postgres and ask the way you would say it out loud. The question becomes a chart, the chart pins to a dashboard, and the dashboard keeps answering against the source as the data moves.
database → question → dashboard
One question, start to finish
Which agency dispatches fastest — and is anyone drifting?
Asked against nyc_911_calls — 36.3M incidents across four agencies, sitting in ClickHouse, exactly where they stay.
Typed the way you would say it out loud. Pick the analyst who should answer — the persona sets the voice the answer comes back in.
The answer comes back charted, with what it read on the record.
Pin the answer and the dashboard assembles around it — the right chart types for the question, not a blank canvas.
Every refresh runs against the source. It reads your live data, so it stays in sync by construction.
A question, then a dashboard that stays.
Most questions get asked more than once. Asking it the first time is what builds the thing that answers it from then on.
Connect
Point it at ClickHouse or Postgres. The connection is outbound-only from your network and holds no credentials on our side.
Ask
Type the question the way you would say it out loud. No SQL, no modelling layer to define first.
Keep it
Pin the answer to a dashboard filled with the charts that fit the question. It refreshes against live data instead of last night’s export, and sharing it is one button.
What’s never lost. Every question asked and every call made is logged, with traces exportable to any OpenTelemetry collector on self-hosted — Jaeger included. Every change to an org, project, module or space is versioned, so an admin can roll back a dangerous one with a click.
What you can’t do. Authentication for your own users, third-party integrations, and logic that has nothing to do with your database. That work stays yours to build, manage and maintain.
The analysts are built in.
Ask Studio is the layer purpose-built for analytics and BI. Personas do the analyst’s work: engage one and the answer comes back in its voice, thinking with the model you choose.
Ask, and pick who answers.
Engage a built-in persona of your choice — an analyst, not a general assistant — and the answer comes back in its voice.
Nothing to model first.
No semantic layer to define, no metrics catalogue to maintain. The schema is read at runtime, so the first question works on day one and stays in sync as the schema moves.
Bring your own model.
Connect your account to Claude, OpenAI or Gemini and the analysts think with the model you already trust.
The same layer underneath.
Ask Studio is Minimal pointed at analytics. The connection, the identity scoping and the audit spine are the same ones that serve APIs, MCP tools and agents — a dashboard is one more outlet on them. The layer’s specifics live on Agent Studio.
Upload, and it is a warehouse.
Any of the supported flat file formats arrives as correctly indexed warehouse storage, ready for the same questions.
SaaS, or your own metal.
Run it hosted and we operate it. Or take a licence, deploy inside your own network — air-gapped included — and no data leaves your perimeter.
Share it for nothing.
One button, and it is with whoever needs it. No extra seat, no extra cost.
One connection, four outlets.
The connection that answers questions can also serve the data as APIs, expose MCP tools and run agents. When the question becomes a job on a schedule, Agent Studio is a tab away.
The short answers.
Do I need to know SQL?
No. That is the point. If you can say what you want to know, you can ask it — and you can see what it read to answer you.
Is it querying a copy of my data?
No. Queries run against your database and the results come back. Nothing is extracted, synced or held afterwards.
What about large tables?
ClickHouse support exists precisely because of them. Questions run where the data already lives rather than pulling rows somewhere else first.
Who is this for?
Anyone who currently waits on someone else for an answer. The person with the question and the person who can get it become the same person.
Ask it about your own data.
Open the product and ask, free, no card. Or book a session and bring one question you have been waiting on — we will connect your database and answer it live, or use ours if yours is not ready yet.
